  • A successful day - our organising group, our staff, our many volunteers and our sponsors deserve a special round of applause.

  • This pre-Christmas meeting was washed out. Ironical after the Club has done so much to drought-proof the course.
• Monday, 29 December 2008
  • This was a bumper day for the family; it serves to remind all that a day at a country race meeting can be great fun for all the family, young and old.
• Saturday, 3 January 2009
  • An absolutely brilliant day with the emphasis on family entertainment. Food and wine enthusiasts were also able to enjoy the spectacular produce of South Gippsland.
• Monday, 12 January 2009
  • The last of our inaugural trifecta of special family days.
• Sunday, 8 March 2009 - Cup Day.
  •  Quality racing has always been a feature of this day. Last years Cup was won by Stay all Day. A terrific race and a great punting opportunity. Fashions on the Field are also a feature of this day. All of the Cup winners are listed on our Honour Board.

Important Club Policies

Horse Movement Policy and Equine Influenza
The security measures that applied last season in order to avoid the potential for the transfer of the Equine Influenza (EI) virus have now been discontinued. Splendid news for the industry. The Club is grateful for the co-operation received from everyone throughout the "prohibition".

The Club will now operate (revert to) its On-course Horse Movement Policy to ensure that it meets the Occupational Health and Safety and Risk management responsibilities in relation to horse movement and in the best interests of the wellbeing of all our visitors. The policy identifies all horse movement areas and provides details of the limited access to the Mounting Yard, Horse Stalls and Parade Ring Areas.

Everyone should be aware of the policy and make every effort to observe its requirements.

• MOUNTING YARD – This is the area where horses are paraded prior to a race and where jockeys mount and dismount their rides. Access is limited to officials, other authorized personnel, trainers, jockeys and strappers
• MOUNTING YARD VIEWING AREA – Access is available to the owners of horses engaged in a race. Owners who have been issued with a ticket by a Club representative in the Secretary’s Office may view their horse(s) from here but may not enter the Mounting Yard.
• HORSE STALLS AND PARADE RING - The Club is concerned to ensure the safety of the public and so limits access to this area to officials, other authorized personnel, trainers, jockeys and strappers. Owners who have been issued with a ticket may enter the area but must remain behind the protective barriers.

The Club will not be responsible for any injury incurred in these areas – all people whether mentioned above or otherwise enter these areas at their own risk.
